First Aid at Work (FAW) — 3 Days
The full FAW qualification for medium to high-risk workplaces.
Renew your team's First Aid at Work certificates — 1 day of e-learning plus 1 practical day at your premises — before they expire.
First Aid at Work certificates are valid for three years. This requalification course renews the full FAW qualification for staff who hold a current FAW certificate, refreshing their knowledge and updating them on the latest first aid protocols.
The course is delivered as a blended qualification: delegates complete 1 day of e-learning in their own time, then our trainer delivers 1 day of practical training at your premises — halving the time staff spend away from the job compared with a traditional two-day classroom requalification.
The HSE recommends requalifying before the existing certificate expires. If a certificate has already lapsed, the full 3-day FAW course is normally required — our team can advise on the right option when you book.
If your organisation prefers a regulated qualification, we can deliver this requalification leading to the Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF), accredited by Qualsafe Awards, for an additional £200 + VAT (£850 + VAT in total).
As with our full FAW course, the Level 3 route is a preference some organisations have, not a legal requirement — the standard FAIB-accredited certificate fully satisfies the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981. But if an employer, tender or sector body specifically asks for an Ofqual-regulated (RQF) qualification, this upgrade covers it. Not sure which you need? Ask when you enquire and we'll advise.
This course is for workplace first aiders whose FAW certificate is still in date. Book the requalification in the final months of the certificate's validity to avoid any gap in cover.
