Annual First Aid Refresher

Course Overview

First aid skills fade without practice. The HSE strongly recommends that qualified first aiders complete an annual refresher between formal requalifications, so they stay confident and competent if an emergency happens.

This three-hour session is designed for staff who have previously completed a first aid course. Our trainer comes to your workplace and runs a practical, hands-on refresher covering the core life-saving skills — with scenarios tailored to your environment.

• CPR practice on manikins, with feedback
• Safe and effective AED use
• The recovery position and managing an unresponsive casualty
• Choking, severe bleeding and shock
• Updates to first aid protocols since their last course

Who Is This Course For?

Any member of staff who holds (or has held) a first aid qualification — FAW, EFAW or equivalent — and wants to keep their skills current between requalifications.
